SEYFR exists because something as simple as sharing files has become unnecessarily complicated, restrictive, and dependent on systems most people do not control.
I’ve experienced the frustration myself, and I’ve watched people around me struggle with it too.
Why should private wedding photos have to live on a billion-dollar company’s servers just so family members can receive them? Why should sharing a conference talk, a design file, or a personal document require handing that data to platforms that permanently store, analyze, or monetize it?
Why do files lose quality when sent through certain services? Why is direct peer-to-peer sharing still unreliable or impossible for so many people, especially across different regions and devices? Why do we normalize sending sensitive information through platforms where “deleted” often only means hidden from the user?
For many people around the world — especially in places with unstable internet infrastructure, expensive bandwidth, or limited cloud access — file sharing is still harder than it should be.
SEYFR was created from the belief that people deserve simpler and more respectful tools.
We believe file sharing should feel direct, private, high-quality, and human. Your files should belong to you. Your memories, conversations, passwords, presentations, and creative work should not need to pass through layers of unnecessary dependency just to reach another person.
